Vibe are pleased to announce we are re-opening our Open Access sessions in September, in line with Government guidelines and the easing of coronavirus restrictions as young people return to school. We are initially opening the doors to three clubs, and we are committed to returning to our regularly scheduled programmes of Open Access across Knowsley as soon as it is safe to do so.
Please see our Coronavirus Updates page for more information on specific programmes.
From Monday 7th September we are starting face-to-face activities with young people for Open Access sessions in three of our Clubs; Our Place in Huyton, Bryer Road Community Centre, and Knowsley Village Youth Centre in Prescot. Further clubs will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.
We will be operating a booking system so that young people who wish to attend can schedule their sessions and we can track numbers for our clubs.
We will adhere to Government guidance on social distancing and limiting attendee numbers to ensure we can safely maintain a social distance. Our teams will remind young people at the beginning and throughout sessions of the need to remain socially distanced from one another.
There will be additional cleaning of the centres between sessions, and we will have hand washing provisions and sanitiser gel available.
This continues from our successful Summer Programme where we engaged with 575 young people over four weeks in our Summer Camps, Mini Youth Clubs, Outreach Street work and our Virtual Youth Clubs.
Vibe Youth Clubs will have a different theme each week which will include:
- Mindfulness activities
- Drawing lessons
- Movie reviews
- Money skills
- Cooking and food preparation activities
- Taskmaster challenges
- Wellbeing groups
- Share your skills
- Card and magic tricks
- Dance and performing arts activities
We will continue to offer online Open Access sessions, including group chats, and we will engage with young people through social media including Instagram and TikTok. We will continue to host online quizzes, challenges, and virtual activity sessions in our programmes.
