Be Yourself is open to young people who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community.
There is no official referral for Be Yourself, but we do need to speak directly to the young person before they attend.
Our sessions run on a Tuesday 6-8pm at Westvale Community Centre. Be Yourself offers a safe space for young people to be their true self without fear of judgement. We work with the young people and cator activities around their interests, things we have done in the past include a silent disco, Harry Potter night, games night and animal encounters. We also have regular health focused and specific LGBT history, education and information sessions. We have a worker from Comics Youth who does regular art sessions with the group.
