The first Vibe Corporate Cup has been announced!
With the roadmap to exiting lockdown underway, could your organisation benefit from the ultimate away day to reconnect and get you thinking as a team?
On Friday 23 July, Vibe is hosting the first annual Corporate Cup at the Vibe Outdoors centre on Lord Derby’s Estate in Knowsley. Teams of six people will take on four challenges – two land-based, and two water-based activities. It’s the ultimate team-building task, designed to bring out a little friendly competition and test your problem-solving skills.
Our experienced team of specialists at Vibe Outdoors will be there to support your team every step of the way, making sure you come away having learned some new skills and experienced all we have to offer at our fantastic outdoor education centre. Vibe Outdoors is rarely open to the public, so this is a great chance to come and see what we have to offer on a beautiful lake-side setting.
The Corporate Cup is raising funds to support Vibe. At Vibe, we offer great programmes and services that support young people to build positive relationships with themselves and others, and play a central role in creating vibrant communities. Vibe offer open-access youth clubs as well as targeted programmes that support young people with specific needs, such as young carers, getting into education or employment, or activities for those with additional needs or disabilities.
Vibe has more than 2,000 members – that’s 2,000 young people in Knowsley who have a safe place to go, with someone to talk to, and positive activities to take part in. But with cuts to funding for youth services over the past decade totaling more than £1bn across the UK, youth clubs and programmes are in danger of closure without public support. Young people are in need of us more than ever after the disruption to their education, employment prospects, social lives, and mental health caused by a year of pandemic restrictions.
The Corporate Cup fundraising target is £900 per team (£150 per person!) and Vibe is on hand every step of the way to support you towards your fundraising goals. There is also a £20 per person cost, which covers the costs of the event for us and means that all funds raised will go towards supporting young people’s services. The entry fee includes a t-shirt to wear and lunch on the day of the event.
